In the practice of her medical career, Dr. Gail Weingast found a love for ultrasound and radiology as she completed her residency education. With an undergraduate degree from Tufts University and an MD earned at Boston University’s School of Medicine, Weingast moved into various internships, residencies and fellowships following her school education. After several years focusing on pediatrics at Dever’s Colorado General Hospital, she remained at the institution, but refocused on radiology and started to find her niche. Then in 1983, after three years in radiology, she had a one-year fellowship in ultrasound, further carving her passion. For the remainder of her career, including doctoral work in multiple states, Weingast focused on both radiology and ultrasound as a practicing MD.
